Why High School Students Join C.A.T.S.
You will help develop your potential, build communication skills, and become involved in your community in the Concerned About Teen Success (C.A.T.S.) program.
People just like you will be helped to make healthy choices because you let them know what a healthy relationship is, how to avoid risky behaviors such as alcohol and drug use, how to prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections and how to identify and stop teen dating violence.
By going to school classrooms with six or seven other C.A.T.S. members, you will confront often difficult topics that affect you and others. Your talent will be used to bring about original presentations including music, audience participation, and PowerPoints to make the case for healthy life choices.
You will become involved in your community in a way few students are. Peer to peer education bridges cultural differences, offers help to students in turbulent relationships, clarifies conflicting cultural messages, and affirms your future.
